All Saints' Day is on Friday, November 1st. This a Holy Day of Obligation. We do not have school this day, but we encourage all families to attend Mass this day and attend the Parish All Saints Day Party. We will celebrate All Saints' Day at school on Monday, November 4th. Students may come to school dressed as their Saint on that day. Teacher's are working with their students to help them pick a Saint.
Costumes do not have to be elaborate (a pillowcase or bathrobe can make a great robe). You are welcome to use props instead of or in addition to their costumel (carry a rose for St. Rose, a stuffed animal for St. Francis, a baby doll for St. Mary, etc.). The children will do a school-wide Litany of the Saints, more details to come. Students should arrive to school dressed in their Saint costume.
Their costume should preferably go over their uniform.
If that is not possible, please pack a uniform that they can change into.
They will change out of their costumes before recess/snack.
