At Holy Rosary Catholic School, the safety of our students is our number one priority.
City of Idaho Falls Safety & Prevention
In the case of a security threat that would cause us to enact a shelter-in-place or lockdown, we communicate closely with our local law enforcement. The City of Idaho Falls has several avenues of communication available to the public, to keep us safe, including their AlertSense Public Safety Alerts. Click the link below sign up for this app and to learn more about of city's other avenues of communication.

All of our staff are trained and certified in First Aid and CPR.
We are equipped with a defibrillator and 3 LifeVac devices (airway clearance)
We have a state-of-the-art security system on our campus. We keep all of our doors locked all day and we have safe buildings on our grounds where students can be for a long period of time, if needed.
We practice monthly fire drills, lock down drills, shelter-in-place drills and earthquake drills throughout the school year.
We have an alternate method of carline drop-off and pick-up that allows us to get your child directly to your car from the building or vice versa, in case of inclement weather or security precautions.
ALL volunteers who work within the school MUST have taken the Safe Environment Class and pass a background check. The safe environment class is a 2 hour course that was designed by the Diocese of Boise. There will be classes offered at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. The parish and school also have a once per month class. In addition to the initial in-person workshop, an annual renewal training must be completed, online.
